This is my son's lamp and he has been busy getting his girlfriend's mothers's house ready to sell. He finally finished on Saturday last and can now look again at the lamp. He did contact the maker and they will only sell him new LED drivers. No advice on troubleshooting the existing drivers. Maybe this is because they have updated the drivers. So my son can buy the new style but will try first to fix what he has. Eric |

The examples I saw were sets made from the late 1960s onwards, when working of a TV hire and repair business. Never seen a 100pF paper cap. .... Phil |

Phil Mine are 20s - 50s. Don't know what values the caps are offhand. NT |

For instance: <http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIM808-GPS-GSM-GPRS-Quad-Band-Module-Shield-with-3M-Antenna-for-Arduino/182633887502?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3D3a1099ab42b54d929397e17d018abafd%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D132160043879> can be shortened to : <http://www.ebay.com/itm/SIM808-GPS-GSM-GPRS-Quad-Band-Module-Shield-with-3M-Antenna-for-Arduino/182633887502> by trimming everything after the listing number. It can be trimmed even more, like this: <http://www.ebay.com/itm/182633887502> by removing the description part: SIM808-GPS-GSM-GPRS-Quad-Band-Module-Shield-with-3M-Antenna-for-Arduino/ from the link so all you need is the link to Ebay, followed by /itm/ then the listing number. All three methods will display the same item. -- Never piss off an Engineer! They don't get mad. They don't get even. They go for over unity! ;-) |
| "pfjw@aol.com" <pfjw@aol.com>: Aug 07 05:03AM -0700 Mpfffff... No, I do not do precision work, which, in point-of-fact is probably the case as the typical Zenith or Hallicrafters or Tesla or SNR radio is not a precision instrument. But, they do just fine aligning with a Fluke meter ILO a VTVM. Nor, of course does Old School. And, given his posts, is likely defeated by anything more complex than a rubber spoon. The original EPG was a service provided by United Video Cablevision's microwave division. Their computers were in Tulsa OK, and they were linked to their WGN uplink in Chicago by a pair of leased phone lines. One pair fed the data North to Chicago, while the second echoed it back to their PDP -11 computers in Tulsa OK. It was transmitted on a subcarrier along with WGN to CATV headends across the country. The demod and processor was a 6502 based rack mounted computer that put out NTSC color video. I got into a very heated argument with the head of our Microwave division, as I told him how to uplink the signal from the computer site, but leave it on the WGN transponder. He told me it was impossible, so I told him that if he couldn't do it, he should quit his job. Two months later, they announced the change, and that HIS idea was saving the company over $15K per month for the leased lines. -- Never piss off an Engineer! They don't get mad. They don't get even.
