John-Del <ohger1s@gmail.com>: Sep 05 07:23AM -0700 Some guy dropped off two car radios from a 67 Fairlane. They are similar but a year apart and they have some differences on the boards. One just needs a recap but the other has different issues. There are several encapsulated modules in these radios and I'd like to know what it's in them. |

There are several encapsulated modules in these radios and I'd like to know what it's in them. I can tell you that it is a Philco-made radio, and that you may be able to search https://sites.google.com/site/identifyingcarradios/home/radios-1/ford-2 Then, there is the Philco Forum: https://philcoradio.com/phorum/archive/index.php?thread-13086.html At least that is a start. But, I suspect you have already done this. Peter Wieck Melrose Park, PA |

On the Philco "Phorum", one member was looking for the schematic and another member said he would send to the other member, but that was like a ten year old post. Thanks for looking. |
Jeff Urban <jurb6006@gmail.com>: Sep 04 05:34PM -0700 Get a second, even a third opinion. It probably really needs an OS reload or restore. Did you try safe mode ? If it can do that 80% the mobo is good. And BTW, since after Win98SE you have to do the OS all over again with a new board. I know how to migrate 98SE to another PC but it is impossible with XP or later. |

I know how to migrate 98SE to another PC but it is impossible with XP or later. Another reason I am using MAC OS still. Most of my time is spent using the computer, not figuring out what went wrong... I expect Linux is also like that, as any system based on Unix seems pretty robust. John :-#)# |

My son started working for MS and he told me that on their servers they use a Linux based system. Bad thing when MS will not use their own softwear for the 'cloud'. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |
