Is that your best attempt at an insult? The only solder work I did
was to troubleshoot some boards. There were two complete ground
stations. One fixed, one mobile. They were shipped to Italy. The last
I heard, they wanted a second mobile ground station because the ESA
facility was so small. That caused front end overload at launch for the
fixed station. A good +60 dB above what they specified in their
purchase order.

I worked in production test & engineering on that project.

Yet you can find both sitting on the side of the road, with steam
pouring out from under the hood. :)

The by-product from air oxidation of lemon oil (d-Limonene oxide) is one
of the most allergenic chemical known. It forms in part-used bottles of
lemon-scented products and I have seen the horrible results of the
sensitisation it causes. (One of my work colleagues lost most of her
facial skin to it)

Even if you aren't allergic to it, other people may be, so please don't
use it.

acids are what's used to etch porcelain bathtubs for "refinishing" with
epoxy paints. even leaving chlorine bleach solution puddled on the tub
surface will etch it,I found that out the hard way.

Which acid or acids? Decades before I saw "Breaking Bad", I knew that
hydrofluoric acid attacked glass and porcelain. But hydrochloric?

I recently discovered that caustic soda in an ultrasonic cleaner is capable
of etching the glaze off of spark plug insulators.

Okay, but we're talking about acids directly applied to porcelain.

Counted off with no breaks, paint stripper on outer layer and then blast of
hot air if the wire was "grabbing" . No hot spot or shorted turns. Break 5mm
from the end due to mechanical strain presumably.
No wonder only 0.2R over the inner coil , it is .78mm diameter wire. 3 amps
of audio ac expected ? , I can see 0.6mm wire going back there ,or whatever,
for 1 layer of same number of turns
1 and a part layers , the part layer had ruckled under the tape allowing
the thin wire turns to drop off at the ends , hence grabbing on counting
off, and pushing radially over the wire lead-out, especially as a few part
turns to take up the recess from the thick wire part turn. Surprisingly no
obvious punch through between primary and secondary (which is which in this
circumstance?) as ruckling had allowed fine wires to touch thick wires it
would seem, bypassing the intended interlayer tape

Again, automotive circuit breakers do exactly what you want. None
require that the load be lifted to reset, they are simple thermal
devices that cool and restore the circuit.
