Replaced C635 10uf 250V . Monitor back up-runs fine. I know-a cap; big
deal. But since I'm not an electronics whiz kid, resurrecting this
thing 3 times since new makes me feel kinda good.

Good going, but count on fixing it again someday for the same problem. There
is a repair kit out there to take care if it once and for all. Web search :
repair kit ARSCM769D

Bullshit. Those vectorscopes were used at TV stations, where most
were on 24/7. The TV stations I've seen didn't have enough cooling for
the equipment racks. SWTPC crap would have burnt up in a week, or less.

It is IBM. T60 is the series, not the model number.

Bullshit. The AP has always marked their news with a copyright
notice and the date. If they didn't, it wouldn't stand up in court.
Here is the raw article, with the AP copyright notice. Do you see
any PHP?
<span id="ctl00_phSubPageBody_lblContentBody" class="text"><p>SANTA
CLARA, California (AP) — Intel Corp. on Monday said it has found
a design flaw in a recently released chip, and is working with laptop
makers to replace affected computers.</p>
<p>Sales lost while the company rushes out a replacement chip, and the
cost of replacing computers with the flawed chip, will cost the
company $1 billion, it said.</p>
<p>Intel said it's shipped 8 million of the defective chips, but
complete PCs with those chips have only been on sale since Jan. 9, so
"relatively few" of them have reached consumers. The main processing
chips in these computers are branded "Core i5" and "Core i7."</p>
<p>The affected chips aren't the main processors, which are based on
the so-called "Sandy Bridge" technology that Intel announced in
January, but a support chip. The flaw means it may degrade with use
over a period of months or years, slowing down the transfer of data to
and from the computer's hard drives and DVD drives.</p>
<p>Intel said consumers can "continue to use their systems with
confidence, while working with their computer manufacturer for a
permanent solution."</p>
<p>Intel shares slid 25 cents to $21.21 in early afternoon
trading.</p>
<p>The company said it has already started making a new version of the
support chip, and hopes to start delivering it to PC makers in late
February. While they wait for the new chip, production of computers
using Intel's "Sandy Bridge" chips will be on hold.</p>
<p>The delay will reduce revenue by about $300 million in the first
quarter, Intel said. It put the repair and replacement cost at $700
million.</p>
<p>Despite the setback, Intel raised its overall revenue outlook for
the first quarter because of the recent acquisition of the phone-chip
business of Infineon Technologies AG. It also expects to complete the
acquisition of McAfee by the end of the first quarter.</p>
<p>Intel now expects $11.7 billion in revenue in the first quarter,
plus or minus $400 million. Its prior outlook was for $11.5 billion,
plus or minus $400 million.</p>
<p>Intel also said it expects revenue to grow by a mid- to high teens
percentage in 2011. It previously expected a growth of about 10
percent.</p>
<p>The company said its gross margin — the profit made on each
sale, expressed as a percentage of overall revenue — will be
lower than its previous outlook as it will be taking a charge related
to the chip flaw.</p>
<p>Intel now expects its first-quarter gross margin to be 61 percent.
Its earlier outlook was for 64 percent.</p>
<p>For the full year, gross margin is now expected to be 63 percent,
compared to the previous expectation of 65 percent.</p>
<p>Shares of rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. jumped 36 cents, or 4.8
percent, to $7.86 on the news. The stock has traded in the 52-week
range of $5.53 and $10.24.</p>

Yes, The PHP is applied on the server side and what the client
sees as a web page is the processed page rather than the original
PHP code.

Have you ever seen a raw newsfeed from the AP? I have, starting in
'73 as an engineer at a TV station. There was a copyright date on every
article. The only news service I've seen that didn't have one was the
military news wire that served Alaska.

Funny,
I've done DOZENS of those Alps switches. They must be taken apart and
cleaned, as spraying them does not seem to last, but I've never had a
stripped gear drive.

P.S. These switches were used in the Arcam Delta 290, Xeta 1 and Alpha
9 integrated amps, along with the Creek 5350 and some Yamaha products.
I'd guess along with many others I don't know about.

There is a "weak link" , sprung loaded slotted axle support in the drive .
Intermittently disengages motor if excessive back torque/jammed , then will
mess up the tiny pinion if left in that state, clicking away to itself while
the owner sleeps through it. Does
not make as much noise as a Dyson slip clutch/ football rattle, you could
not sleep through that.

Hello All,
Received the above camera in for service, and took care of the mechanical
problems. Performing the alignments is something I've always done, as I have
all the jigs and software/ hardware... However, the one thing I'm missing are
the latest bulletins.
The problem is, I can't reset the hour meter. I've tried several times, and
like I said, I can do all the alignments, so I know how to use the remote and
follow directions in the manual. After turning blue, I pulled another V1U off
the shelf and tried to reset the drum hours and to my surprise, it wouldn't
hold either! I mean, you can go through the motions, but when you turn power
off and back on, the old data is still there!
There has to be a bulletin on this issue.. I'm pulling my hair out over here.
Can someone help me, please?
*** It's been a very long time since I've posted here - several years, in
fact. When I did have problems and needed help, there were always kind folks
out there that would give a hand, and for this I am grateful. Thank you!***

Not relevant at all - fuckhead.
No you post something that MAKES SENSE.
Surprise me.

Ok the display is backlit with 4 LEDs at the bottom. Behind the LCD
there is a light diffuser/spreader whatever you want to call it. It's a
static component just there to spread the light from the light source
evenly behind the LCD. Obviously this was damaged somehow, probably
dropped although the former owner would not admit it and the IPod has no
apparent damage to the case. Behind the light "spreader" there is a
reflective piece of something. It's not totally opaque because I can
shine a strong light through it and see the damage on the LCD side with
the display unplugged. So this is a simple matter of replacing the
display This particular model has five latches on each side, two on the
bottom and one on the top.

I own a T21 with a dead display.

JEDEC seems to be into memory specs these days and no longer into basic
semiconductor devices.
There was a time when JEDEC and PRO ELECTRON held some sway over part
numbers and such. JEDEC seems to still be into semiconductor device package
standards, however.
4N and 6N part numbers are out there. They seem to be beyond the old JEDEC
system and relate to opto-couplers.
Is there an expanded/updated version of the 1N, 2N, 3N JEDEC system?

** Wot is this loon on about ?
The JEDEC device numbering system was of benefit only to manufacturers.
A 2Nxxxx number could be a transistor of either polarity, a J-FET or a
bloody triac!!!

Hard to decipher some semiconductor part numbers, these days.
1N, 2N, 3N devices are well defined but 4N and 5N and 6N parts were never?
defined. Does anybody out there actually know if the old JEDEC standard was
dropped, or usurped, or has it just faded into the past? I cannot find a
JEDEC reference to a 6Nxxx optocoupler.
