pv.ramadas@gmail.com: Jun 14 05:11AM -0700 I have a KV36XBR450 accidentally 230 volts was applied and power off. Checked and replaced the fuse but it burns again, please let me know what all could suspect |
jurb6006@gmail.com: Jun 14 08:07AM -0700 The OP in this cas probably had a shorted video output IC rsulting in the failure of the 220 volt supply to the CRT board. Resurrecting years old threads doesn't weork well here. I see many gmaiers doing it, probably because of how gmail presents the threads, especially after a search. Check your other thread. Answers are there. |

jurb6006@gmail.com: Jun 14 08:04AM -0700 In that unit there are three switched mode power supplies running right of the main line. One is the high voltage, one is the main chassis power and one is the standby. You need to check them all as well as the rectifiers. The rectifiers usually won't blow fom that type of thing, but actually the main filters migth short out. Get your DVM and look for short circuits, and do not change the fuse any more until the shortis found, all you do is risk mo money when changing a fuse and not finding out why it blew. Shit like this used to be one of my cash cows. I actualy told everyone else to stay out of those sets because they were beyond them, at the shop. But now, I just don't care. I think I might have a print if you're interested. Problem is I got that virus a while back with the "HELP_DECRYPT" bullshit and I lost alot of stuff. Can probably get it back though somewhere. |
jurb6006@gmail.com: Jun 13 01:45PM -0700 Hmmm. I am pretty sure this one is not designated BTL but is, I am pretty sure, used in the bridged mode. There is only one speaker. I could most likely make it bridgable though, shouldn't be too hard. The main problem is the failure mode, I don't like it and I get the idea I might run into further problems. I hope these things don't get too popular. |

I used to repair VCR's. :-( When the writing on the wall started to be visible, I considered switching to DVD players. I'm glad I didn't the prices on those dropped very quickly. Instead I moved form Michigan to Florida and worked at a company that built high power, high frequency ultrasonic equipment for about seven years. Now, I sell shrimp from a floating store. Mikek |
jurb6006@gmail.com: Jun 14 07:58AM -0700 Aha, I rememebr, you're the guy with 37 freezers and the wires melting. Now, how do you get into this shrimp gig ? Also, how did that oi spill affect you ? Were you the de facto source for petroleum free shrip back then ? they told us the price was going to triple and all this shit. Anyway, my lament is documented in another thread. no need to repeat it here. Bottom line, people don't want to pay for anything useful. Of course if you can bounce a ball good and throw it through a hoop, or hit it with a bat, or something like that, you will be fine. But useful work has all been delegated to the dog races. You know what I mean. Dog eat dog. Lose money working just to keep others froom having the contract. Like crackheads without the crack. Ever hire crackheads ? I have. you can only trust them to do certain shit and you have to watch over them with a gun but that ain't a problem. Seriously, five hours work for twenty bucks, $4 an hour. And they'll do ANYTHING. Help you move bodies, even if it is someone they know. Err, was. Enough. |

Gives you a dual tracking supply of 0 to +60V and -60V with single knob control and heaps of current available. Hint: you switch the amp to "bridge" first. ... Phil |
"hrhofmann@sbcglobal.net" <hrhofmann@sbcglobal.net>: Jun 13 07:55PM -0700 I looked for any other identification on each of the 4 batteries, there were no numbers, and only the words "POLAROID POLAPULSE BATTERY" in full capital letters. |
rev.11d.meow@gmail.com: Jun 13 08:00PM -0700 You can compare the dimensions to the different model's dimensions and see which of yours one it is that way. |
