Wow. To me, a "dish" is a Rocket M5!
Yours are far larger than mine!

Think bigger:

If you want to play with a really big (30 meter) dish, the Jamesburg
Earth Station is nearby:

We have dishes like that at Stanford, as you well know, which can be seen
from 280 heading north to SF.

Mine can go about 10 miles reliably, but it's only about 18 inches or so in
diameter.

Harald, I have exactly the same problem. Did you find any solution?

No response to emails on failure to deliver a purchase of 3 weeks ago.
Not tried phoning them yet, next week job.
May just be just failure to pay the website platform and bad business

I know you can claim back financial loss as paid for by CC, but what is
the exact process, as I've never done it before?
Wait for appearance on CC statement and then what?

Annual return and accounts are seriously overdue at Companies House, I'd
say find another supplier ...

And they filed to have the company struck-off two days ago, was your
order above the £100 limit for CCA section 75 to apply?

I'd been using them for perhaps 20 years, but yes, different supplier
required.
I could have bought from China/UK or 1 supplier in Germany with
prohibitive shipping costs and I thought , paying over the odds, to the
only UK supplier listing the, I'd get them the usual potal delay+ one
day. A month on , HK ones would have been here by now ,doh!

No just 2 , NOS obsolete, TO220 SMPS supervisor+drivers, one to use and
one for spare, about 17 GBP with VAT and postage.

Sounds like the main caps have blown/shorted
N_Cook <diverse@tcp.co.uk>: Jul 29 12:12PM +0100

> Sounds like the main caps have blown/shorted

Yes, in my opinion too small caps squashed into a small place on a
heated part of the board, considering the amount of space available in
this valve amp size, full width head .
18mm diam, x35mm, 105 deg C, is suspiciously small for 3300uF,50V.
Fixed 2 proper size 80V 3300uF to the cooler metalwork and so far
running fine.
Wire replacements to the burnt traces, leaving unburnt and unlifted
parts of the traces as "fuses"

I translated the word from the Abysinnian. That's what we say there!

Or maybe that's what they say at the Abysinnian Flamingo Casino in
downtown Djibouti.

It's pretty old. I think my friend brought it over last year
complaining it didn't work on his Mac. Of course that doesn't explain
why he had it. I just gave him another cable and didn't look at his
much until the other day. I wish I could tell him what I just
learned but he died last march at 78.

Thanks Frank and Andy, and Jack for trying.

I have a Dell i7 lappy sitting in my closet for several months that
seems completely dead. No lights when plugging in AC adapter, no
response to the power switch, nothing. The AC adapter has tested good.
It's out of warranty.

I didn't have time then to see if it was worth fixing up, but I have a
use for it at this point and would like to see if I can get it running
again.

Most of the laptop diagnosis texts I've seen online are outdated or
simply not very good. Can anyone point me to a reference on where to get
started when diagnosing this thing?
dansabrservices@yahoo.com: Jul 28 01:11PM -0700

The first thing I would check is the power connector. I have replace many of these over the years that have been broken. Either poor solder connections that have let loose or just physically broken off of the board.

There's plenty of good stuff on the Dell site, worth a look.

Hi,

I have two B2240 LCD Monitors and second monitor displays very strange. Everything on monitor has yellow shadow. First monitor works perfect. I replaced power supply, LCD panel and processor card (I didn't find any proper name, this card has two inputs, DVI and VGA, and one output, LVDS to LCD panel) one by one and realized that processor card is not working properly. It has two inputs, DVI, VGA. I tired both of the inputs, same result. There is a chip on the board, Samsung MagiColor SE959LMH-LF. I suspect that this chip is damaged. But I am not sure. I didn't find any datasheet or cirucit diagram.
How can I repair it? Bord model is BN41-01311C.

Thanks.

yes I've found this, but I can't find a way to send a message to anyone
without registering. I might as well register if all else fails.
Thanks

This repository has a scanned user manual for the Digelec 804:

It's not what you are looking for, but could bring you closer.

Cheers!
