I have no information one way or the other, but years ago when manufacturers made product for specific buying groups, they would distinguish any variances with a unique model number, or at the very least a suffix code or letter. Samsung in fact used to add a single letter on the same line but a bit away from the model number that would show which LCD display was installed. An "S" after the model number would indicate a Samsung display and a C would indicate a Chungwah (can't recall the exact name) display. But since Hantek is based in China, all bets are off. |
Brasto <bram.stolk@gmail.com>: Sep 05 12:52AM -0700 Many Philips radio's are using two different segments of wire on the drum of the variable capacitor to tune to the various stations. The steel wire type forms one half and the "cotton" tread closes the loop, AM and FM circuit are using the same type of different wires. The steel part is on vintage radio's subject to corrosion and breaks easily, I found it no problem to replace the steel by a "cotton" type. Question: what is the reason Philips engineers have chosen for this two type of wire concept? |
