Most likely, this would be a Chinese clone. Might this be a problem down the road, or should I order a better brand and what are your suggestions? Thanks. |

So you will be making the same repair multiple times. - Yes, but in such a way as to cause additional cascade failures - so you are putting the device at-risk. - No. In fewer words: Don't be stupid. I wasn't aware of a product recall. I will check that out. Thanks. |

Good news for me: I contacted Samsung and they were very concerned about the swollen battery. Apparently a smaller Samsung tablet had similar problems which caused damage both to the unit and surroundings. They are sending me a box to return the unit for free repair. |
