BALTIMORE -- The man accused of stabbing several people at a high school
reunion over the weekend was denied bail on Monday.

During the bail review, 28-year-old James Dixon had very little to say
and gave no clues as to what happened over the weekend, 11 News reporter
Lisa Robinson said. The judge called Dixon a serious risk to public
safety and a flight risk.

Dixon's arrest on first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder
charges followed a weekend party at the Patapsco Arena in south
Baltimore during a class reunion of Walbrook High School graduates who
attended the school from 1995 to 2005.

Police said there was an altercation inside and that Dixon stabbed six
people, killing one of them, 23-year-old Carrington McNutt.

The charging documents give little information about a motive, Robinson
reported.

The documents said that when police arrived at the arena at about 1 a.m.
Saturday for reports of a shooting, they found "an unknown black male
lying face-up in a pool of blood." The document stated that the police
officer who responded "was unable to determine the exact location of the
victim's wounds due to the large amount of blood on his face."

The document said that detectives later found out that the victim had
not been shot and had instead suffered several stab wounds to the neck
and head. The documents said the victim was taken to Shock Trauma, where
he died a little later.

The police report didn't list the names of any witnesses to protect them
from retaliation, Robinson reported.

Dixon's public defender noted in court that there are questions about
who those witnesses are and how they came to identify Dixon.

The lawyer said that Dixon has a 10th-grade education and went to
Douglass High School before getting his GED. She said he had been
working at a Shop and Save for the last two years.

The state pre-trial investigator said in court that Dixon has seven
prior convictions for various offenses.

LITTLETON, Colo. - Authorities have arrested a third suspect in
connection with a brutal assault on a Walmart worker in Littleton which
was caught on video earlier this month.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says Wayne Vigil, the man seen
pushing a shopping cart containing stolen goods, was arrested after tips
from media coverage.

The incident happened Aug. 20 at the Walmart located at 13240 W. Cole
Mine Ave.

Investigators say three Latino men left the garden center of the store
pushing a shopping cart filled with stolen merchandise, which set off an
alarm when they went through a door.

A male Walmart employee tried to stop the suspects on the sidewalk in
front of the store, at which point one of them struck the employee on
the side of the head, knocking him face-first into the shopping cart,
officials said.

He sustained -what the Sheriff's Office called- "serious bodily injury."

In surveillance video released by the Sheriff's Office, the suspects are
seen driving off in a dark-colored SUV as the victim struggles to get to
his feet while covering a wound on his face. (Watch Video)

Vigil joins suspects Joe Lucero, 34, and Jose Cruz, 19, who were
previously arrested.

The getaway driver remains at large.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office tip-line
at 303-271-5612.

A mugging victim's dog "took a bite outta crime" Saturday night,
chomping down on the suspect's leg as he ran away with the dog owner's
wallet.

The incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday in Elver Park on the
city's southwest side, Madison police said.

According to the police report, the 31-year-old Madison man was running
with his 70-pound dog on a bike path near a bridge in the park, when he
heard footsteps behind him.

"Then he felt an object being pushed into his lower back," said police
spokesman Joel DeSpain. "The robber told him not to be stupid as he
groped around in the victim's pockets."

The suspect took the wallet and was about to run when the dog chomped
down on the mugger's leg.

"He was still able to get away," DeSpain said.

The suspect is a black male, 30-35 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5
feet, 10 inches tall, short hair, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim was walking with a 6-year-old to the store in the 6000 block

suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the
victim, then shot him when the victim said he had no money.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The 6 year old was not injured
in the incident.

The gun shot victim, identified by police as John Vaughan, is recovering
in the hospital from serious injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly a teenager, standing
about 5 foot 9 with a thin build. Police said he has short hair and was
last seen wearing a white tee shirt and gray pants.

Cordele, GA (WALB) – A Cordele man is accused of viciously killing a
dog while burglarizing his neighbor's house.

There are new details on the story we told you about last week.
27-year-old John Frank Dunlap is charged with burglary and aggravated
cruelty to animals, both felonies.

Police say Dunlap broke into Michael Shirah's home August 21st, and
stabbed his ten year old toy poodle 'Sheila' at least four times with a
pair of scissors.

A TV, game system, money and jewelry were stolen. Police say they found
all Shirah's stolen items in Dunlap's home.

SAN ANTONIO -- A teenager is behind bars after police were able to track
him down using a high school yearbook. The 17-year-old robbery suspect
was arrested Saturday. Police say he and three others robbed another
teen on South Mittman near Schley on the east side.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by News 4 WOAI, Anthony Tello

victim handed him the phone, police say Tello put a gun to his head and
demanded his stuff.

The warrant says the victim put his hands up and the four men took his
necklace, wallet, cash, keys and tennis shoes.

The victim told police he recognized the suspect from school. Police
were able to find Tello using a Highlands High School yearbook.

Tello is in the Bexar County Jail charged with aggravated robbery with a
deadly weapon. His bond is set at $75,000.

BRENHAM, Texas - A fugitive accused of forcing a local teenager to
choose between prostitution or torture was arrested in Brenham.

Christopher Crawford, 24, is charged with aggravated assault causing

and off for the past 3 years if she didn't do what she was told.

Now 18, Milton is permanently scarred - her eye droops and she still
shows signs of visible swelling on her face.

Brenham Police heard about Crawford on a FOX 26 News Report that ran on

Investigators say Crawford beat the then 15-year-old Shellysia Milton on
and off for the past 3 years if she didn't do what she was told.

Crawford allegedly forced Milton into prostitution every day.

Now 18, Milton is permanently scarred - her eye droops and she still
shows signs of visible swelling on her face.

It is unknown if he'll be extradited to Harris County.

Have you any idea just how much processing power it takes to run a
user-interactive story in real time, and then to 3D render the graphics in
real time ? Do you think that they rate the 12v PSU for 23.5 amps in one
version, and 32 amps in the other, for fun ? Those are not real questions,
because I know full well when you stop and think about it, you know the
answers, Jeff.

I've just looked at the rating plate on the bottom of one of the cases, and
it is 240v (nominal UK line voltage) at 1.8 amps. I make that a maximum
input power of around 430 watts. It's a switching PSU, so I reckon that we
can rate that as being at the very worst 80% efficient, so that's still 345
watts potentially going somewhere. I'm prepared to go with 45 watts into
ancillary circuitry on the board, which still leaves around 300 watts going
somewhere. Perhaps I'm being naive, but my best guess is that it's
disappearing into the two bloody great BGAs which the manufacturers are
trying their utmost to heatsink. If you try to run one of these machines
with the heatsinking not in place, it goes into thermal protect in about 5
seconds - and all it's doing then is booting. The heatplates on the BGAs are
at this point hot enough to take your fingerprints off ...

Nope, I'm pretty sure that these two puppies are good for 150 watts apiece,
when the machine is doing some real work.
