Since you've clearly eliminated solder from contention, I would suggest:

"An all-purpose, electrically conductive glue ideal for bonding all kinds of
low-voltage connections. Makes a permanent bond without heat. Lead-free. 0.3
fl.oz. jar."

While it's really more of a conductive paint than a glue, it's been useful
to "replate" switch contacts on IR remote control units and to attach small,
fine wires like those required by glass solar panels where soldering may
cause serious damage if not done expertly. They also sell all sorts of
battery holders and soldering tools.

You might be able to gain strength by building up the material in layers and
then covering it with hot melt glue to add physical strength. Even will all
that I would solder but use a small alligator clip to "wick" the iron's heat
away from the plastic. Buy a new iron and some spare tips and practive a
little. I was amazed to learn how much a good tip is worth when soldering.

I did mention "It Came from Outer Space", which is generally considered a
"good" film. "Gorilla at Large" is an amazing example of a grade Z film with
a largely grade A cast.

Oh, nobody's denying -- including the critics who liked "Avatar" -- that

it's a very entertaining film, and it uses 3D with terrific effectiveness..

Yes, there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding going on with this whole
full HD / HD ready thing. I guess if the installer did not fully grasp the
concept of native panel resolution as opposed to apparent resolution in
terms of what the TV could accept, he might have felt that he was doing the
right thing in forcing the box to output at 720p regardless of the actual
source resolution, and in 80% of cases, he could well *be* right. From what
I've seen, a very great deal of the LCD sets sold by the sheds, at least
here in the UK anyway, only have a vertical panel resolution of 720, even
though the set can accept a 1080i or p input.

This is consistent with my experience with them. I've been running
mine 15-16 hours/day for about the last 10 years.

I am finding Q705, Q701 and 702 markings and the regulator transistors
etc on the main board/heatsink, no problem.

a.) A relative bonehead re detailed electronic repairs.

A simple voltmeter can give a lot of information particularly while
it's in 'failed' mode. While power devices (transistors and the main
audio power IC) can go 'thermal, I haven't seen a thermally sensitive
transistor in many years. The most common way back when was the TO-220
case devices - just like Q 701,702 and 705 but I would put money on
bad solder joints.

Glue (use the special plexiglass bonding solvent) some plexiglass blocks
around the periphery of the panel, hidden by the white trim. Drill these
blocks (before gluing) for mounting screws that thread into the cabinet.

Alternate to drilling the plexiglass blocks: Fashion some clips (metal)
that thread into the cabinet and grab the blocks.

Whatever the glue is , it is fine on the plexiglass. What has failed is the
surface , only, of the rexine has sheared off. So perhaps baring back to the
underlying wood is all that is needed. On the other hand there is a
noticeable bowing in the plexiglass , perhaps 1/4 inch over the length,
presumably due to heat, helping to shear any bonds on the sides

I have two on there. One is called "FreqGen" and the other is called
"Oscillatr Free" actually spelt like that. Both are much the same in
functionality, but I think that FreqGen is a bit nicer to use.

Why we have Gravity

A correct theory of gravity will show us these four (4) things:
1. It will show us why gravity also acts like acceleration (principle
of equvalence).
2. It will show us the actual cause of gravity.
3. It will show us why gravitational force and inertial force are
equivalent.
4. It will show us the speed of gravitational attraction.

Newton said gravity was acting at a much faster speed than Einstein.
Which one of them is right?
