That's the only thing I hate is the goddamn midgets. All of them. I
don't care what color they are I hate them all. A standing order at the
door there, it should read "No Fucking Midgets." I mean that. I don't
know what about midgets riles me, but they look up at you like they want
sympathy. "Get out of my way little short motherfucker." I can't kick as
high as I used to but I put my foot in a midget's ass. Don't want none
around me don't want none. You try to be nice to a midget, you stand and
converse with them. They stand there breathing on your fly. I don't like
that. I don't want anybody breathing on my fly unless they serious. If
you do sure you do. We'll pause here for a moment, we'll drink to human
beings around the world. What makes them laugh. First this shit.

No it doesn't.
There's no way to get 2 female connectors to mate pin 1 to pin 1.

It won't work. You can't just solder two connectors together. That
will swap the odd & even pin numbers and short out the entire buss.

You might as well go to a 40 conductor cable if you do that. The 80
conductor cabe is a set of transmission lines and the reflections from a
mix of 40 & 80 pin conductors will screw it up.

Since it politically incorrect to mention race in the news these
days, we may not know for a while whether the victim was black
or white. We do know that all the perpetrators were white, since
their mug shots are on the web.
Any particular reason you asked?

The disc drive raises the disc until it presses against a round
plastic plate so the disc "hovers" over the read laser.
However, the disc spins very slowly or moves only about 1" and then
stops.
Where is the "drive train" and how do I check it to see if it is
slipping? Is there a belt?

Going to a higher voltage usually raises the initial ESR. That kind
of defeats the purpose of repairing the equipment.

Opposite, higher voltage rating usually lowers ESR ;) Check the datasheets.

FWIW, this obsolescence document advises that the CP5609AMT and
CP5605AM devices have been replaced by the CY7C63613-SC:
http://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf/getfile.php?dir=Datasheet-050&file=DSA008645.pdf&scan=n
CY7C63411/12/13, CY7C63511/12/13, CY7C63612/13 Low-speed USB
Peripheral Controller:
http://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf/getfile.php?dir=Datasheets-8&file=DSA-145671.pdf&scan=
My cursory examination of the document would suggest that the
microcontroller may be waiting for a command over the USB interface
before it activates the LED. Otherwise one of the GPIO pins may have
the desired function, but this would be implemented in the firmware by
the designer of the mouse.

Or maybe ZO110A02C1 (zed oh, not zed zero).

It is.

Sensata don't seem to have any with the same form factor.
And they're on the wrong side of the Atlantic for me. Which is
perhaps why they don't have the part I need. <g>
The klixon is a Siltal part, an Italian white goods
manufacturer. But that doesn't tell me who actually made it.
This isn't the Siltal logo.
Siltal is out of business and the part is "no longer
manufactured". Off to find a generic replacement.
An ohmmeter and a saucepan full of water tell me that it's
indeed an NA38, i.e. normally open, closed above 38C. I would
have expected a security thermostat to have a much higher
actuating temperature, like 100C. What is 38C good for ?
Preventing damage to wool/synthetic ?
Thanks everyone.
