This does not list "incorrect local terrain height" and also it is a
manual process for correcting errors. There is no such thing as a
feature in Google Maps that tracks your GPS position and reports it
back to Google for inclusion in the maps. The road information comes
from offcial (and their own) surveys, it is not like a road will be added
to the map when one or more Google Maps users cross a field somewhere.

And similarly, the local terrain height is not influenced by the height
indicated by users when they use Google Maps.

Including inside some malls and department stores. I forget where I saw
that.

If the field happens to be a new development?

Wow. That's good. They go slowly so the pictures won't be blurred.

How does GMaps get updates to street maps.

Does it infer the streets from computer analysing the sat view?

Or do municiplities send it updates when they construct new streets?

In some places, they show paths between houses with a dotted line? Who
tells GMaps about the paths? If you choose Walking, it will route you
over the path, but no other method of travel will go that way.

We all know google leans left so why would you be afraid to have a democrat from google inventory your house?
Isn't socialism all about sharing?

I was desoldering some things and once forgot to cock the desolder pump.

I thought "I would be in big trouble in the old west with a single action".

Most times you only need to point it. In fact most times it doesn't even go that far.

It seems during a quick draw gunfight in the middle of Dodge, they
never miss, but if it is a gunfight out on the plains where they take
time to aim, it takes a full load plus a refill to hit anyone.

The expression is: it takes man's weight in bullets to kill him.

The "old West" was rather tame, by modern standards, anyway.

a) About 25% of cowboys were black
b) About 40% of cowboys were Mexican
c) The remainder were everything-else, including white.
d) There were only 14 actual bank robberies in the "Territories" over a 10 year period when most of the "old-west" movies were set.
e) There were about 40 shootouts and street duels from about 1865 to about 1910. Not everyone died, either. In contrast, there have been 114 homicides in St. Louis, MO alone in 2019.
f) By contrast, there have been over 140,000 deliberate gun-caused injuries in the US in 2019, over 40,000 resulting in a death.

Don't worry about the old west. Worry about the New West.

I was repairing a Magic Chef (aka Maytag CGS3760ADW) oven because it
took too long for the burner to come on. Before I removed the old
igniter, I checked the owner's manual for any tips or technical
information. What I did find was that if you hold the "Stop Time" button
and the "Cancel" button together for 3 seconds, the bake function will
be disabled. I gave it a try and after several attempts, I was
successful. The bake function was disabled and the displayed showed,
"OFF," for 15 seconds next to the clock when you pressed the Bake
button. I removed the old igniter and tested it. It was intermittently
showing continuity so I ordered a new one. Today I received the new
igniter and installed it. I pressed the "Bake," button but the display
just showed "OFF" next to the clock. Then I held the "Stop Time" and
"Cancel" buttons together for 3 seconds (this is what the owner's manual
says to do) thinking this would re-enable the bake function but the
"OFF" display kept showing every time you pressed bake. I figured the
CPU must have locked up so I turned off the breaker to the stove, waited
a few minutes, then turned it back on. Now, not only does the "OFF"
still display, the clock will not display. I removed the control panel
and checked for anything obvious. I did not find anything unusual about
the display board. The soldering was good and nothing looked like it had
failed. I reassembled the control panel and powered on the stove. No
change. It would seem to me even if the bake function is disabled, the
clock should still display properly as it did before I turn off the
power to the stove. Has anyone seen this type of failure before?

Thanks for your reply.
